The Greedy Dog

A dog was walking with a bone in his mouth when he saw his reflection in a pond. Thinking it was another dog with a bigger bone, he became greedy and wanted it. He opened his mouth to bark at the “other dog,” and his bone fell into the water. The dog was left without anything. 

He realized too late that greed had cost him what he already had. 

The lesson: Don’t be greedy for what others have, or you might lose what you already possess.
